Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving!
To  get your dolls ready for Thanksgiving, help them make a cornucopia by taking a piece of paper and making it into a cone shape and helping them fill it with pieces of paper saying the things they're thankful for!  After their Thanksgiving dinner, they can put up their Christmas tree which you can get at your local pharmacy for about $20.  I got mine at Walgreens for $8 at the after Christmas sale last year.  They can make ornaments out of colored paper end some ribbon and also regular paper and some cute stickers. If your dolls go to school, they can draw a picture of their favorite thing to do at Christmas or Thanksgiving to put up in the classroom/hallway of their school.  Have a Happy Thanksgiving!

NCD

Happy National Cat Day!
Today is National Cat Day.  Oct. 29 is the day we celebrate our four-legged friends who meow!
Make sure to spend some extra time with your cat or kitten.  If you don't have one try to make an effort to go to your local cat shelter or cattery.  If you can not, just try to celebrate our wonderful furry friends!

Halloween

Happy Halloween!  Make sure to get your doll ready!
First of all, does your doll need a Halloween costume?  Well, I have a simple costume for her!
You can use your historical doll's extra outfits for a simple costume! I'm just using Felicity's riding outfit as Sarah Petite's costume and am making small colonial purses as their bags.  I'll have another post on the bags!   (it's really Elizabeth's riding outfit but when my mom ordered it, she ordered me the pink one because at the time , I LOVED pink.)
Then, for some fun candy I have candy corn. Look at my Fall post for how to make them. Also, you can make taffies out of colored clay and wax paper and use small bowls as "tubs of candy".
Have a great Halloween!

It's Fall!

It's Fall time now!  The leaves are changing colors and the warm weather is fading away.  And everybody's favorite are coming out... Pumpkins and Candy Corn!  Well, doesn't your doll need some too?  You can make candy corn out of clay and if you live near Madison, VA Graves Mountain Lodge has doll sized pumpkins for 50 cents.  Most pumpkin patches will have small pumpkins too, but some of them are kind of pricey.  You can also make leaves out of construction paper to put on the ground for your dolls too.  That's it.  Happy Fall!!!
